Travelling with your pet: welcome aboard, both of you

At Precellence Service your pet travels with you. Dog, cat, rabbit, ferret, bird in its cage: all are welcome, in any number in the Paris region, within the room available on board. You tell us when booking, we confirm, and your chauffeur is waiting knowing your pet is coming. No refusal at the door, no surprises.

Online, declare your pet in the « Special notes » field of the booking: species, number, crate or not. A question before booking? Write to us or request a quote.

What we do for your pet

  • A seat cover, supplied by us, fitted before you arrive.
  • A pet secured during the journey: the French Highway Code (article R412-6) requires that nothing hinders the driver, and it keeps your pet safe. Carrier, travel bag or fastened harness, which you bring. A large dog travels in a crate. If you have particular wishes for your dog's comfort, write them to us when booking: we always do our best.
  • Large dog or large crate: we recommend the van (V-Class). In an E-Class, only a small or medium-sized pet, in a bag or a crate.
  • Your pet never counts as a seat: the passenger capacity stays the same, up to 3 passengers in an E-Class and 7 in a V-Class.
  • A vehicle cleaned and deodorised after every journey with a pet, for you and for the next passenger.
  • Water on board on long journeys.
  • Guide dogs and assistance dogs always travel, without a crate and at no extra cost, as the law provides.

What it costs

Nothing more. In the Paris region, a pet declared at booking and secured during the journey does not change the price of your ride. Only actual damage (soiled seat, damaged trim) would be charged at cost, with receipts. The fare itself remains the one shown before payment.

Paris → London with your pet: by car, because the train says no

Eurostar accepts no animals between Paris and London, apart from guide and assistance dogs. The road is the only way to keep your companion with you, and we drive it from your door to your London address, in either direction, at a fixed price: €1,650 in an E-Class, €2,320 in a V-Class, Eurotunnel and tolls included, your pet's Le Shuttle fee included.

How it works:

  1. We take Le Shuttle, not the ferry. The crossing lasts 35 minutes and your pet stays in the car, with you. On a ferry it would stay alone on the car deck for an hour and a half.
  2. At Calais, the Pet Reception is open 24 hours a day, drive-through. We arrive there one to two hours before departure. Eurotunnel staff, not customs, scan your pet's microchip and check its papers, then hand you the tag to display on the windscreen, which lets you board.
  3. An exercise area is available at both terminals.
  4. Up to five pets per vehicle: that is the British rule for travellers with their own animals.

Your pet's papers to enter Great Britain

Checked on 7 November 2026 on gov.uk; we remind you of them when we confirm.

  • You live in France or the European Union: your pet's EU pet passport, issued by your vet, is enough. It must show the microchip, a valid rabies vaccination given at least 21 days before travel and, for dogs, a tapeworm treatment given by a vet between 24 hours and 5 days before arrival, with date and time recorded.
  • You live in Great Britain and are going home: your Animal Health Certificate issued by your UK vet before you left, or a UK passport issued before 2021, plus the same tapeworm treatment for dogs. Since 22 April 2026 a UK resident can no longer use an EU pet passport to travel back into the European Union.
  • Cats and ferrets: no tapeworm treatment.

On the way back to France, the pet check is done on foot at the Folkestone terminal one hour before departure, and French customs may ask to see your pet and its papers on arrival. An EU passport is enough if no rabies booster was given in the UK during the stay; a health certificate is valid for ten days.

Arriving in Paris with your pet: airport or station, we come to get you

At the airport (Roissy-CDG, Orly, Le Bourget, Beauvais). Your pet flew in the cabin in its bag, or in the hold in its approved crate. From the hold, you collect it at your terminal's oversized-baggage desk; if you arrive from outside the European Union, present it with its papers to customs before leaving. Your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with your name, loads the crate like luggage, and takes you wherever you are going. Large dog or large crate: we recommend the van (V-Class). 60 minutes of waiting are included after the actual landing, time enough to collect your companion.

At the station (Gare du Nord, Gare de Lyon, Montparnasse, Gare de l'Est, Saint-Lazare, Austerlitz). TGV INOUI and Intercités trains accept dogs and cats with a ticket for the pet: a small pet in a closed bag, a larger dog muzzled and on a lead. Eurostar between London and Paris does not: if you are coming from London with your pet, we bring you by car, from your door to Paris. At the station your chauffeur waits with a sign showing your name at the agreed platform exit, or at the meeting point given in your confirmation, with 30 minutes of waiting included after the train's actual arrival.

Book before you leave: species, number, crate or not, flight or train number. We track your flight or train, your chauffeur adapts to delays, and your pet never waits on a pavement.

Your price in 10 seconds

Enter your trip: the price including VAT for each vehicle appears, calculated by our server. No commitment.

Price per vehicle including VAT, for the chosen date and time; it is confirmed at the next step, before any payment.

What we do not do

We do not carry a pet without its owner, more than five pets to Great Britain, or non-domestic animals. Your pet remains under its owner's responsibility during the journey.

Frequently asked questions

My dog is large, is that a problem?

No. It travels in a crate. Large dog or large crate: we recommend the van (V-Class); in an E-Class, only a small or medium-sized pet, in a bag or a crate. If you have particular wishes for its comfort, write them to us when booking: we always do our best.

Can I travel with several pets?

Yes: in the Paris region, in any number, within the room available on board, and a pet never counts as a seat: the passenger capacity does not change. To Great Britain, five at most, by British rule.

Do I need to bring anything?

Your pet's crate, bag or harness, and its papers for a border crossing. The seat cover is ours.

Can the chauffeur refuse my pet on arrival?

No, if it was declared at booking. That is the point of booking ahead.

What about a journey to another country?

Entry rules depend on the country. Tell us the destination and we will list the papers before confirming.

Who checks my pet's papers for London?

At Calais, Eurotunnel staff at the Pet Reception, before check-in. Not customs. On the way back, the carrier at Folkestone, then French customs on arrival.
