Travelling with a pet

I'm arriving at CDG with my dog: how do I get to Paris?

Short answer

Collect your dog first: in the cabin, it comes out with you; from the hold, at your terminal's oversized-baggage desk, then through customs with its papers if you arrive from outside the European Union. The simplest next step is a chauffeur booked ahead with the pet declared, who waits in the arrivals hall and loads the crate. At Precellence Service, CDG to Paris costs €115 in an E-Class and €159 in a V-Class, with no extra charge for the pet.

In detail

Three ways to reach Paris with a dog. The RER B accepts it: a small pet in a closed bag, a larger dog muzzled and on a lead (RATP rule for the metro and RER; French Transport Code, article R2242-3), but you carry the crate up stairs, through crowds and changes. Taxis and ride-hailing cars take the pet at the driver's discretion: a refusal at the door is still possible.

A chauffeur booked with the pet declared is waiting for it: at Precellence Service, a declared pet is always accepted, the seat cover is provided, 60 minutes of waiting are included after the actual landing, and we track your flight. Large dog or large crate: we recommend the van (V-Class); in an E-Class, only a small or medium-sized pet, in a bag or a crate. Online, give the species, number and crate in the « Special notes » field of the booking.

In the Paris region, a pet declared and secured during the journey (crate, bag or harness) does not change the price; only actual damage would be charged, at cost and with receipts. Guide and assistance dogs always travel, without a crate and at no extra cost. The car is cleaned and deodorised after every journey with a pet, and there is water on board for your pet on long journeys.
