What should you know before booking a chauffeur in Japan?
- Tokyo has two airports: Haneda (HND), close to the centre, and Narita (NRT), about 1 hr 15 min to 1 hr 30 min away by road.
- Kyoto has no airport: you arrive via Kansai Airport (KIX), about 1 hr 30 min away by road, or by Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo.
- Japan's luggage forwarding service (takkyūbin) lets you send large suitcases on from one city to the next.
- In Japan, tipping is not customary.
