Heathrow → Mayfair: approximately 45 minutes to 1h15 depending on traffic and arrival time. The chauffeur takes the M4 then the A4 to Hyde Park Corner. At peak times (7-9.30 am and 5-7.30 pm), allow up to 1h30. For fixed business appointments, we recommend a 2-hour safety margin from Heathrow.
Tipping is not required and not expected — it is not included in our partner rates. Following British customs for premium service, a tip of 5 to 10% is appreciated for exceptional service (extended hire, heavy luggage handling, difficult conditions). No pressure: your comfort is the priority, and generosity remains at your discretion.
In London, the main distinction is between Private Hire (on-demand app-based service such as Uber) and Executive Chauffeur Service (a dedicated premium private chauffeur, booked in advance, with a higher-tier vehicle and an experienced chauffeur in professional attire). Precellence operates exclusively as an Executive Chauffeur Service through its British partner: Mercedes E-Class, V-Class or S-Class, dedicated chauffeur, flight tracking, included waiting time. The London black cab is a third category — for hailed rides only, not for hourly chauffeur hire.
One hour of waiting is included free of charge after the actual landing time (real, not scheduled). Our partner tracks your flight in real time and adjusts the chauffeur's arrival accordingly. Beyond 1 hour, waiting is billed at the vehicle's hourly rate. For non-airport pickups (St Pancras station, Folkestone Eurotunnel terminal), the included waiting is 15 minutes.
Yes: you settle with Precellence directly in EUR from Paris, via Stripe, bank transfer, or American Express. We handle the remuneration of our British partner in GBP behind the scenes. For you, one transaction and one invoice, emailed in English or French on request.
For a family of 4 to 6 with substantial luggage, we recommend the Mercedes V-Class (premium 6-seater van with a large boot). Available in London for €230 from Heathrow to central, €270 to the east. For 7 or more passengers, or a group with specific equipment (bicycles, instruments, sporting gear), the premium Mercedes Sprinter is available on quote.
Yes — every chauffeur at our London partner is required to communicate fluently in English (mother tongue or near-native level).
