Gare Saint-Lazare is one of France's busiest stations by passenger traffic. Inaugurated in 1837, it has seen the brushes of Monet and Manet, the Sunday-evening crowds returning from Deauville, the daily Intercités to Caen, Rouen and Le Havre, the Transilien trains of executives heading home to La Défense or Saint-Cloud. Arriving at Saint-Lazare has a particularity rare in France: two separate exits, on either side of the passenger building. Cour de Rome, the east side, is the historic exit, opening onto Arman's sculpture «L'Heure de tous»: a pile of clocks. Cour du Havre, the west side, opens directly onto the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. The choice of exit changes everything for the pickup: that is why we always ask your preference at booking.
