A taxi or chauffeur that accepts pets at Gare de Lyon, Gare du Nord or Montparnasse?
Short answer
In Paris a taxi may refuse an animal, except a guide or assistance dog, and a ride-hailing car booked on an app also leaves it to the driver. The safest option is to book a chauffeur ahead and declare the pet: the booking counts as acceptance. At Precellence Service your chauffeur waits at the platform exit, seat cover provided; from a Paris station, the ride into central Paris costs €85 in an E-Class and €105 in a V-Class.
In detail
Gare de Lyon, Gare du Nord, Montparnasse, Gare de l'Est, Saint-Lazare or Austerlitz: your chauffeur waits with a sign showing your name at the agreed platform exit, or at the meeting point given in your confirmation; 30 minutes of waiting are included after the train's actual arrival. Give the train number when booking: we track your train as we would a flight, and your chauffeur adapts to delays.
Your pet travels secured: in its crate, its bag or with a fastened harness. Large dog or large crate: we recommend the van (V-Class). In the Paris region there is no extra charge for a pet declared at booking; only actual damage would be charged, at cost and with receipts. Online, give the species, number and crate in the « Special notes » field. The car is cleaned and deodorised after every journey with a pet, and there is water on board for your pet on long journeys.
On the train, TGV INOUI and Intercités services accept dogs and cats with a ticket for the pet: a small pet in a closed bag, a larger dog muzzled and on a lead. Eurostar between London and Paris refuses animals, apart from guide and assistance dogs: from London, the car is the answer.
