Should I tip a private driver in Paris, and how much?
Short answer
No, it is not expected: service is included in the fixed price, and our chauffeurs never ask for a tip. If you would like to thank your chauffeur for exceptional service or a long journey, a tip of 5 to 10% is appreciated, with no obligation at all. It is not part of the price shown or of your invoice.
In detail
The price you pay when booking already covers the trip, tolls, fuel, help with luggage, any child seat requested and the free waiting time (60 minutes at the airport). Between CDG and Paris, for example, it is €115 in an E-Class, all included.
For a full day of chauffeur service, when the same chauffeur stays with you for several hours (€720 for 8 hours in an E-Class), some clients leave a tip at the end of the day and others do not; the service is the same either way. If something was not right, please tell us instead: we answer every written complaint.
