Do Paris taxis and chauffeurs take credit cards?
Short answer
Yes. Paris taxis are required to accept bank cards. With Precellence, you pay online when you book, by Visa, Mastercard or American Express with 3D Secure authentication, or with Apple Pay and Google Pay. For example, €115 between CDG and Paris in an E-Class, paid in one go.
In detail
The full amount is charged when you book, and your chauffeur never asks you for anything. Payments are handled by Stripe, our payment provider, so your full card number is never passed on to us.
Companies can also pay by bank transfer within 30 days of invoice. Either way, your invoice is emailed after the ride. Payment is taken in euros, whatever your card. If anything is added after the ride (waiting beyond the free time), it is charged to the same card or settled through a payment link.
The confirmation email sums up the date, time, pick-up address, destination, vehicle and the price paid.
