Passport control is slow at CDG: will the driver wait beyond the free hour?
Short answer
Yes, up to 120 minutes after the actual landing: the first 60 are free, and the rest is charged per hour or part hour at the hourly rate for the class booked (€95/h in an E-Class). Let your chauffeur know by phone or message: a passenger who can be reached and says they are running late is not treated as a no-show.
In detail
Passport control and baggage reclaim can take a while at busy times. You receive the chauffeur's name and phone number no later than 1 hour before pick-up. A short message is enough to tell them where you are.
If you know getting out will take time (a flight from outside the Schengen area, special luggage), you can also set a pick-up time later than the landing time when you book. If you would like help with arrival formalities, our Meet & Greet service puts a greeter at your side as soon as you arrive (€250 per arrival at an airport), in addition to the transfer.
