Private chauffeur in Courchevel, by the day or by the week
In Courchevel you do not need a car: you need a driver. Precellence puts a dedicated private chauffeur and a Mercedes E-Class, 7-seat V-Class or S-Class, based in Courchevel, at your disposal by the day from €750 (VAT included) or by the week from €3,900, the same chauffeur from the first day to the last. English always, your language on request.
One chauffeur, one Mercedes, your whole week in Courchevel
Courchevel's Croisette car park has 320 spaces and street parking is paid from 7 am to 8 pm. Your Precellence chauffeur is already parked when you walk out of L'Apogée, Cheval Blanc or your Jardin Alpin chalet.
Everyone does the Geneva transfer. Few offer the chauffeur who is waiting at the bottom of the slopes at 4 pm, drops the children at ski school at 9, takes you out to dinner and brings you home at midnight after the last shuttle. That is what "at your disposal" means in resort: a Mercedes E-Class, a 7-seat V-Class or an S-Class based in Courchevel, and a private chauffeur who stays with you from breakfast to the last drink.
You book with our Paris team in French, English or Arabic; the chauffeur is already in resort. One contact, one car, one chauffeur from the first day to the last. "By the week" means seven consecutive days, Saturday to Saturday, not weekdays: six days of ten hours with a dedicated driver, at a published price.
A family, skis, pushchairs, shopping bags and plans that change by the hour: a 7-seat V-Class with its chauffeur absorbs all of it, and never looks for a parking space. A couple, a meeting in Geneva, a starred dinner: the S-Class waits outside the palace hotel. A traveller on their own with a tight schedule: the E-Class is enough, at the gentlest price.
The road up to the resort is our job
In Savoie, the French mountain law requires four 3PMSF winter tyres or chains on board from 1 November to 31 March. Our cars carry both. The last fifteen kilometres between Moûtiers and Courchevel 1850 are a string of hairpins that fill with snow quickly; our chauffeurs know them, drive carefully and set the departure time by the weather rather than the timetable. The 7-seat V-Class carries skis, boots and pushchairs; our electric Mercedes are not offered in resort.
Winter 2026-27: Courchevel 1850 opens on 4 December 2026 and closes on 18 April 2027 (provisional dates announced by the resort). Our cars are based there for the whole season.
Heading into the mountains with a chauffeur you have not met yet: here is, in writing, what is on board and who is driving.
- Approved winter or all-season tyres (3PMSF marking)
- Snow chains on board
- Child seats and booster seats fitted before you arrive (requested at booking)
- First-aid kit
- Blankets and water on board
- A chauffeur used to driving on snow
- A vehicle tracked in real time by our team
A typical day with your chauffeur
Ski school in 1850 in the morning, a mountain restaurant reachable by road at noon, the boutiques of the Croisette or a run over to Méribel in the afternoon, dinner in the evening and back to the chalet long after the last shuttle. One car, one chauffeur, no waiting.
- Leave the chalet, skis and boots in the boot, child seats already fitted.
- Drop-off at the Courchevel 1850 ski school, then the adults at the foot of the slopes or the spa.
- Lunch at Le Cap Horn on the altiport road: the chauffeur drops you at the door and waits.
- A grandmother and the little ones to Aquamotion, the others to Moriond or Méribel for the afternoon.
- Back to the chalet via the pharmacy and the shops: the boot is yours.
- Dinner at Le Chabichou or Sarkara; the car stays nearby, nobody looks for a space.
- Home on snow, chains on board, long after the last bus. Tomorrow, same chauffeur, same time.
A ten-hour day; beyond that, the "dinner run" option (three hours) takes over, at the price published below.
Courchevel 1850, Moriond, Village, Le Praz, La Tania: wherever your chauffeur takes you
Courchevel is five villages staggered between 1,300 and 1,850 metres, linked by free shuttles but not by your timetable. With a car based in 1850, every village, palace and restaurant is minutes away; Méribel and Val Thorens are a day trip.
Courchevel 1850
The heart of the resort: the Croisette, the palace hotels, the ski school, the boutiques, the altiport up above. Your car is based here all season.
La Croisette · Jardin Alpin · Bellecôte · altiport
Moriond (1650) and Village (1550)
Quieter and more family-oriented, five and ten minutes from 1850 by road. The shuttles stop in the evening; your chauffeur does not.
Aquamotion · sledging · ice rink · ski schools
Le Praz (1300) and La Tania
The original village and its ski jumps, the chalets in the La Tania forest: twenty minutes from Moûtiers, fifteen from 1850.
Alpinium car park · chalets in the forest
Méribel and Val Thorens for the day
Méribel 13 km away (20 to 30 minutes by road), Val Thorens 32 km via Moûtiers (1h15 to 1h30 in snow): a day's skiing or dinner in the next resort, mileage included.
Méribel · Mottaret · Saint-Martin-de-Belleville · Val Thorens

Geneva, Lyon, Chambéry, Moûtiers, the altiport, or from Paris
Whether you land in Lyon or Chambéry, arrive by TGV in Moûtiers or fly into the altiport, your chauffeur is waiting with a name board, and above all he stays. No transfer to book every day, no taxi to call at midnight, no snow chains to fit in a blizzard.
Geneva airport is the most common gateway: 190 km and 2h15 to 2h45 by road in winter, up to 3h45 on holiday Saturdays. Pick-up at Geneva airport is on request, to be confirmed at booking: for us Geneva is a gateway airport, not a base. Lyon-Saint-Exupéry (185 km, about 2h10) and above all Chambéry (109 km, 1h15 to 1h30, free parking) are our arrival airports, often simpler on a peak Saturday. From Paris, your Paris chauffeur drives down with you (600 km, about 5h30) and stays at your disposal: see Paris → Courchevel.
From Moûtiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains station (25 km, about 40 minutes of hairpins) and from the Courchevel altiport, pick-up is quoted on request.

Palace hotels, restaurants, boutiques: the chauffeur waits, you never look for a space
The palace hotels of Courchevel 1850
Les Airelles, Cheval Blanc, Fouquet's Courchevel (formerly Barrière Les Neiges), L'Apogée, Le K2 Palace: France's five ski palace hotels are here, joined by Rosewood Le Jardin Alpin. Drop-off at the door, luggage to reception.
The tables
Le 1947 at Cheval Blanc, Sarkara, Le Sylvestre and Le Chabichou in resort; Le Cap Horn on the altiport road, reachable by car with drop-off at the door. The chauffeur stays nearby for the whole dinner.
Boutiques and après-ski
The boutiques of the Croisette, the ice rink, Aquamotion in Village, sledging and the activities for those who don't ski: the boot keeps your shopping, the chauffeur keeps your timetable.
The chalet, the hotel, the residence
Jardin Alpin, Bellecôte, Moriond or La Tania: the chauffeur learns the address on day one and the access on the first evening. Journeys between your chalet and the rest of the resort are included.
Not everyone comes to Courchevel to ski
Our Gulf clients tell us the same thing: sledging, dog-sledding, Aquamotion, the ice rink, the boutiques, the restaurants. A chauffeur available all week, English-speaking and, on request, speaking your language (or, for discretion, not speaking it), changes the holiday for the whole family.
Courchevel 1850 is the first ski destination in France for families from the Gulf. We have understood what that means: late timings, dinner after 9.30 pm, a party of 8 to 15 with the nannies, a second car for the children and another for the parents, complete privacy and a single contact on WhatsApp. The second vehicle gets 10% off. Your language, on request: a chauffeur who speaks your language, or on the contrary a discreet chauffeur who does not, as you prefer; it is requested at booking, 48 hours ahead, at no extra cost and subject to availability: we answer frankly, in writing, rather than promise.
The December and January holidays are the weeks when our cars go first: book your week as soon as your dates are known. For Gulf agencies and concierge services: partner terms on request, write to us.
Six promises, in writing
Someone is waiting for you
A name board at the airport, station or altiport; your flight is tracked and the chauffeur waits if it is late.
A WhatsApp thread
Timings, changes of plan, dinner at 9.30 pm: one message is enough, for the whole stay.
Child seats fitted
Requested at booking, fitted and checked before you get in, never "forgotten".
The vehicle you booked
The 7-seat V-Class you reserved is the one that collects you, not another model.
A chauffeur named in advance
His name and number reach you before the first pick-up; you find him again every morning.
Winter driving
Winter tyres, chains on board, careful driving on snow and ice: the road up to the resort is our job.

Frequently asked questions — Private chauffeur Courchevel
Do I need a car in Courchevel?
No: shuttles between 1850, Moriond, Village and Le Praz are free, the Croisette car park has 320 spaces and street parking is paid from 7 am to 8 pm. You do need a driver: for ski school at 9, the mountain restaurant, a day in Méribel or Val Thorens, a meeting in Geneva, and the way back to the chalet once the last shuttle has gone.
How much does a private driver cost per day and per week in Courchevel?
A 10-hour day costs from €750 (VAT included) in an E-Class, €1,050 in a 7-seat V-Class and €1,550 in an S-Class. The Saturday-to-Saturday week (6 days of 10 hours, same chauffeur) from €3,900, €5,400 and €7,800. The 3-hour dinner run from €285. Prices per vehicle, with fuel, tolls, mileage in resort and waiting included; winter 2026-27 rates confirmed in writing on quote.
Can I keep the same chauffeur and vehicle for the whole week?
Yes, that is the whole point of the weekly package: a chauffeur named before you arrive, who knows your timetable, your children and your chalet, and the vehicle you booked, not "or similar". You receive the chauffeur's name and phone number no later than 2 hours before pick-up.
Are transfers from Geneva, Lyon, Chambéry, Moûtiers or the altiport included?
They are added at the published price: Lyon airport ↔ Courchevel from €475 in an E-Class (€650 in a V-Class, €850 in an S-Class), Chambéry airport from €330. At Geneva airport, pick-up is on request, to be confirmed at booking. Moûtiers station (25 km, about 40 minutes) and the Courchevel altiport are quoted on request. From Paris, the chauffeur who drives you down (600 km) then stays in resort.
Which language does the chauffeur speak, and are the cars winter-equipped?
All our chauffeurs speak French and English. Your language, on request: a chauffeur who speaks your language (Arabic, Russian…) or, on the contrary, a discreet chauffeur who does not understand it, as you prefer; to be requested at booking, 48 hours ahead, at no extra cost and subject to availability. We confirm in writing what we can honour, we never promise it lightly. Every car runs on four 3PMSF winter tyres with chains on board, as the French mountain law requires in Savoie from 1 November to 31 March.
Which vehicle for a family with skis and children?
The Mercedes V-Class: up to 7 passengers, a large boot for skis, boots and pushchairs, 2 child seats and 1 infant seat supplied and fitted. For a group of 8 to 15 with nannies, a second vehicle (E-Class or S-Class) gets 10% off.
How far in advance should I book for Christmas, New Year or February?
As early as you can: from 19 December 2026 to 4 January 2027 we bill a 3-day minimum and the cars based in Courchevel are few. Outside peak weeks a single day can often be booked the day before, subject to availability. The quote is written and the price confirmed before any payment.
