Private chauffeur in Méribel, by the day or by the week
In the evening, between Méribel and Courchevel, the lifts and shuttles have stopped: your chauffeur has not. Precellence puts a dedicated private chauffeur and a Mercedes E-Class, 7-seat V-Class or S-Class at your disposal by the day from €750 (VAT included) or by the week from €3,900, the same chauffeur from the first day to the last. English always, your language on request.
Mottaret in the morning, Courchevel in the evening: a week without ever reading a bus timetable
Méribel sits in the middle of the 3 Valleys, with Courchevel on one side and Val Thorens and Les Menuires on the other. By day the slopes link everything. In the evening the lifts stop, the shuttles stay in the resort, and the road between the valleys is yours, provided someone else is driving.
Our cars are based in Courchevel, twenty to thirty minutes away by road: your chauffeur arrives in the morning at the agreed time, follows you from one village to the next and drives you back to the chalet whenever you decide. A 7-seat Mercedes V-Class for the whole family, skis, boots and pushchairs included, and the same chauffeur from Saturday to Saturday.
Méribel is a family resort and a long-standing favourite of British skiers. Children at ski school in Méribel or Mottaret, grandparents in the village, parents on the slopes or in Courchevel for the afternoon: one car and one chauffeur who knows everyone's timetable. By the week means six days of ten hours, Saturday to Saturday, at a published price.
From Moûtiers up to Méribel, the road to the resort is our job
In Savoie the French mountain law requires 3PMSF winter tyres or chains on board from 1 November to 31 March: our cars carry both. The twenty-one kilometres up from Moûtiers to Méribel are quickly covered in snow; our chauffeurs know them and set the departure time by the weather rather than by the theoretical timetable.
Heading into the mountains with a chauffeur you have not met yet: here is, in writing, what is on board and who is driving.
- Approved winter or all-season tyres (3PMSF marking)
- Snow chains on board
- Child seats and booster seats fitted before you arrive (requested at booking)
- First-aid kit
- Blankets and water on board
- A chauffeur used to driving on snow
- A vehicle tracked in real time by our team
A typical day with your chauffeur in Méribel
- Leave the chalet, child seats already fitted, skis in the boot.
- Drop-off at ski school in Méribel or Mottaret; the adults at the bottom of the slopes.
- Lunch in the village; the chauffeur stays nearby, nobody looks for a parking space.
- Those who have finished skiing: Courchevel for the boutiques of the Croisette, or a walk in Les Allues.
- Back to the chalet, shopping and pharmacy on the way.
- Dinner in Courchevel or Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, then home on snowy roads, chains on board.
A ten-hour day; beyond that, the "dinner run" option (three hours) at the published price below.
Méribel, Mottaret, Les Allues, Courchevel, Val Thorens: where your chauffeur takes you
Méribel and Mottaret
The village and its chalets, Mottaret higher up at the foot of the slopes: your chauffeur knows the drop-off points and the car parks, which here are booked several days ahead.
Méribel · Méribel-Mottaret · Le Kaïla (5-star)
Les Allues and the valley
The village of Les Allues, Brides-les-Bains below, Moûtiers and its station twenty-one kilometres away: journeys between your chalet and the valley are included in the day.
Les Allues · Brides-les-Bains · Moûtiers
Courchevel, afternoon or evening
Twenty to thirty minutes by road: the boutiques of the Croisette, the ice rink, dinner, then back to Méribel whenever you decide.
Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Saint-Martin
The next valley, via Moûtiers: a day's skiing in Val Thorens, dinner at La Bouitte, René and Maxime Meilleur's restaurant in Saint-Martin-de-Belleville.

Your language, on request
A chauffeur who speaks your language, or on the contrary a discreet chauffeur who does not speak it, as you prefer; English always.
You book with our team in Paris, in French, English or Arabic; all our chauffeurs speak French and English. Another language is requested at booking, 48 hours ahead, at no extra cost and subject to availability: we confirm in writing what we can honour rather than promise it. For a large family with nannies, a 7-seat V-Class for the children and an S-Class for the parents, the second vehicle at 10% off, a single WhatsApp thread.
Winter 2026-27: Méribel opens on 5 December 2026 and closes on 18 April 2027 (provisional dates announced by the resort). Christmas and the British half-term week, 15 to 19 February 2027, go first.
Six promises, in writing
Someone is waiting for you
A name board at the airport, station or altiport; your flight is tracked and the chauffeur waits if it is late.
A WhatsApp thread
Timings, changes of plan, dinner at 9.30 pm: one message is enough, for the whole stay.
Child seats fitted
Requested at booking, fitted and checked before you get in, never "forgotten".
The vehicle you booked
The 7-seat V-Class you reserved is the one that collects you, not another model.
A chauffeur named in advance
His name and number reach you before the first pick-up; you find him again every morning.
Winter driving
Winter tyres, chains on board, careful driving on snow and ice: the road up to the resort is our job.
What your week includes

Frequently asked questions — Private chauffeur Méribel
Do I need a car in Méribel?
Not to get around the resort: you ski on the lifts, and Méribel's covered car parks are paid and booked several days ahead. A chauffeur, yes: for ski school in the morning, a day in Courchevel or Val Thorens, dinner down the valley and the way back to the chalet once the lifts and shuttles have stopped.
How much does a private driver cost per day and per week in Méribel?
A 10-hour day costs from €750 (VAT included) in an E-Class, €1,050 in a 7-seat V-Class and €1,550 in an S-Class. The Saturday-to-Saturday week (6 days of 10 hours, same chauffeur) from €3,900, €5,400 and €7,800. The 3-hour dinner run from €285. Prices per vehicle, with fuel, tolls, mileage in resort and waiting included; winter 2026-27 rates confirmed in writing on quote.
Can we go out for dinner in Courchevel in the evening?
Yes, it is one of the best reasons to have a chauffeur in Méribel: Courchevel is twenty to thirty minutes by road, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville and La Bouitte a little further via Moûtiers. Within the 10-hour day, or with the dinner run option (3 hours) from €285: the chauffeur waits during dinner and drives you back to the chalet.
Are transfers from Lyon, Chambéry, Geneva or Moûtiers included?
They are added at the published price: Lyon airport ↔ Méribel from €475 in an E-Class (€650 in a V-Class, €850 in an S-Class), Chambéry airport from €330 (100 – 110 km, 1 h 30 – 1 h 40 by road). At Geneva airport (183 km, 2 h 30 – 2 h 45 in winter), pick-up is on request, to be confirmed at booking. Moûtiers station (21 km) and a departure from Paris are quoted on request.
The same chauffeur all week, and child seats?
Yes: a chauffeur named before you arrive, the same one from Saturday to Saturday, who knows your timetable, the children's ski school and the way into your chalet; and the vehicle you booked, not "or similar". 2 child seats and 1 infant seat are supplied and fitted before you arrive, on request at booking; for a group of 8 to 15 with nannies, the second vehicle (E-Class or S-Class) gets 10% off. You receive the chauffeur's name and phone number no later than 2 hours before pick-up.
Which language does the chauffeur speak, and are the cars winter-equipped?
All our chauffeurs speak French and English. Your language, on request: a chauffeur who speaks your language (Arabic, Russian…) or, on the contrary, a discreet chauffeur who does not understand it, as you prefer; to be requested at booking, 48 hours ahead, at no extra cost and subject to availability. We confirm in writing what we can honour, we never promise it lightly. Every car runs on four 3PMSF winter tyres with chains on board, as the French mountain law requires in Savoie from 1 November to 31 March.
When should I book for Christmas or February half-term?
As early as you can: from 19 December 2026 to 4 January 2027 we bill a 3-day minimum, and the British half-term week (15 to 19 February 2027) is peak time in Méribel. Winter 2026-27: the resort opens on 5 December 2026 and closes on 18 April 2027 (provisional dates). The quote is written and the price confirmed before any payment.
