How to get from CDG to Paris: comparing taxi, RER, Roissybus, Uber, private chauffeur
CDG to Paris: the short answer
By public transport, the most direct option is the RER B train: €14 per person, 35 to 50 minutes. A taxi charges an official flat fare of €56 (Right Bank) or €65 (Left Bank) for up to 4 passengers. A ride booked in an app costs whatever the demand dictates. A private chauffeur booked in advance costs a fixed price per vehicle: €115 in an E-Class, €159 in a V-Class for 7 passengers.
Only the private chauffeur meets you in arrivals with a name sign, tracks your flight and gives you 60 minutes of free waiting; from 5 people you usually need two taxis (€112 to €130), whereas a V-Class at €159 takes the whole group in one vehicle.

What is the cheapest way from CDG to Paris?
Buses 350 (Porte de la Chapelle) and 351 (Nation) take the Bus-Tram ticket but take over an hour, and the Roissybus has not run since 1 March 2026 (Île-de-France Mobilités). The RER B is the most direct: €14 per person with the Paris Region-Airports ticket (€7 reduced fare). It runs straight to Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel and Denfert-Rochereau in 35 to 50 minutes. It loses its edge as soon as you travel as a group: for 4 people the tickets come to €56, about the price of a taxi, with no help with luggage and often a metro change.
How much is a taxi from CDG to Paris in 2026?
A flat fare set by law: €56 to the Right Bank and €65 to the Left Bank, day or night. It only applies between the airport and central Paris; La Défense, the suburbs and Disneyland are on the meter. Extra charges apply for a booking and from the 5th passenger. You take the taxi from the terminal rank, after the queue.
Ride-hailing app or pre-booked chauffeur: what is the difference?
Both are licensed private-hire vehicles (VTC) under French law. In an app, the price is set when you order and moves with demand, and the driver picks you up at an airport pick-up point. A private chauffeur is booked in advance at a fixed price (€115 in an E-Class), tracks your flight, meets you in arrivals with a name sign and gives you 60 minutes of free waiting after landing.
What is best with children or lots of luggage?
With a private chauffeur, infant and booster seats are free on request, and a V-Class carries up to 7 passengers and 7 bags (4 large suitcases, 2 medium, a pushchair or a cabin suitcase) for €159 in total. On the RER you carry pushchairs and cases up stairs and along corridors; a taxi flat fare covers 4 passengers and child seats depend on the company.
From how many people does a private chauffeur pay off?
For 2 people, the RER costs €28 and a taxi €56 to €65, so a private chauffeur (€115) is mostly about comfort and time. For 5 to 7 people you usually need two taxis (€112 to €130) or 5 to 7 RER tickets (€70 to €98): a V-Class at €159 takes the whole group and its luggage in one vehicle, with a meet-and-greet and help with bags.
