Geneva, Lyon or Chambéry: which airport is best for Courchevel?
Short answer
Chambéry is the closest: about 109 km, 1 h 15 to 1 h 30 to Courchevel. Lyon-Saint-Exupéry (185 km, 2 h to 2 h 20) and Geneva (190 km, 2 h 15 to 2 h 45) have far more flights. Méribel, in the same valley, is the same distance from the airports; Val Thorens and Val d'Isère take a little longer. Tell us how many suitcases and pairs of skis you have: up to 7 passengers travel together in a V-Class, tolls and fuel included, with winter tyres and snow chains on board.
The choice often comes down to flight times: on a school-holiday Saturday, the drive from Geneva takes about 1 h longer. The transfer is booked through a quote, confirmed in writing before you pay.
