A mountain town, not a closed resort: a chauffeur for the week means the whole valley
Chamonix stretches along the foot of Mont Blanc, from Argentière to Les Houches, with separate ski areas: Grands Montets, Flégère, Brévent, Balme. The chauffeur links what the shuttles keep apart, and opens the door to Italy: Courmayeur is on the other side of the tunnel, Megève forty minutes away, Geneva about an hour.
Chamonix is booked on request: your chauffeur goes there with you and stays for the whole stay, with a Mercedes E-Class, a 7-seat V-Class or an S-Class. The same chauffeur from Saturday to Saturday, six days of ten hours, at a published price.
In Chamonix you hear as much English as French: American and British families, skiers and climbers from all over the world. All our chauffeurs speak English; you book with our team in Paris, and a WhatsApp thread follows you for the whole stay.
Arve valley, tunnel, passes: the winter road is our job
In Haute-Savoie the French mountain law requires 3PMSF winter tyres or chains on board from 1 November to 31 March: our cars carry both. Between Geneva, Chamonix, Megève and Courmayeur, snow changes the road from one hour to the next; our chauffeurs set the departure time by the weather rather than by the theoretical timetable.

Geneva airport is the nearest to Chamonix: 85 – 100 km, about 1h to 1h20 by road. Pick-up at Geneva airport is on request, to be confirmed at booking.
From Lyon or Chambéry airports, from Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet station or from Paris, your chauffeur waits on arrival with a name board, then stays with you for the whole stay; these journeys are quoted on request. Grenoble is 225 – 230 km away, about 2h30.

Winter 2026-27: Chamonix's first ski areas open on 28 November 2026 and closures are staggered until 2 May 2027 (provisional dates announced by the resort). The World Cup slalom is announced for 30 January 2027.

Is there Uber in Chamonix?
Do not count on an app at midnight in the snow: nothing ensures a car is free, or that it has a child seat or chains. With a chauffeur by the day or by the week, the car waits outside the hotel, the child seat is fitted, and the same chauffeur collects you the next morning.
How much does a private driver cost per day and per week in Chamonix?
A 10-hour day costs from €750 (VAT included) in an E-Class, €1,050 in a 7-seat V-Class and €1,550 in an S-Class. The Saturday-to-Saturday week (6 days of 10 hours, same chauffeur) from €3,900, €5,400 and €7,800. The 3-hour dinner run from €285. Can we spend the day in Courmayeur, in Italy?
Yes: through the Mont Blanc tunnel (11.6 km, about twelve minutes to cross), Courmayeur is the easiest outing from the valley. The tunnel toll is added on quote; a roof box can move the car into a higher toll category. The Aiguille du Midi in the morning, Italy for lunch, Chamonix for dinner: mileage included in the 10-hour day.
Is the transfer from Geneva included?
It is added, on quote. Chamonix is 85 – 100 km from Geneva airport, 1 h – 1 h 20 by road; at Geneva airport, pick-up is on request, to be confirmed at booking. From Lyon, Chambéry or Paris the journey is also quoted on request; your chauffeur waits on arrival with a name board, then stays with you for the whole stay.
Can we go to Megève or Courchevel for the day?
Yes: Megève is 35 km away, 40 min – 50 min; Courchevel 112 km, 1 h 45 – 2 h 10 with snow, for a day in the 3 Valleys. Saint-Gervais, Combloux and Annecy are within reach too; mileage is included in the 10-hour day.
Which language does the chauffeur speak, and are the cars winter-equipped?
All our chauffeurs speak French and English. Your language, on request: a chauffeur who speaks your language (Arabic, Russian…) or, on the contrary, a discreet chauffeur who does not understand it, as you prefer; to be requested at booking, 48 hours ahead, at no extra cost and subject to availability. We confirm in writing what we can honour, we never promise it lightly. Every car runs on four 3PMSF winter tyres with chains on board, as the French mountain law requires in Haute-Savoie from 1 November to 31 March.
When to come, and when to book?
The first ski areas (Grands Montets, Flégère) open on 28 November 2026, Brévent and Balme on 12 December; closures are staggered until 2 May 2027 (provisional dates). The World Cup slalom is announced for 30 January 2027. Chamonix is booked on request: from 19 December 2026 to 4 January 2027 we bill a 3-day minimum; give us your dates and we confirm in writing.
