Paris to Megève or Chamonix with a chauffeur: how long is the drive?
Short answer
About 6 h 45 for some 630 km, to Megève or to Chamonix alike: the motorway to the Arve valley on the Autoroute Blanche, then the climb from Sallanches to Megève, or up the valley to Chamonix. The price is fixed per vehicle, tolls and fuel included; the 2026-27 season rate, provisional for now, is on our Paris to ski resorts page.
In detail
If you fly in, Geneva airport is the closest: about 88 km (1 h 15) to Megève and 85 to 100 km (1 h to 1 h 20) to Chamonix. These airport transfers are quoted on request, with pick-up at Geneva on request.
In the resort, the same chauffeur can stay with you by the day (10 hours) or by the week, Saturday to Saturday. From Chamonix, the Mont Blanc tunnel leads to Courmayeur on the Italian side, for a day on the other side of the massif.
3PMSF winter tyres and snow chains on board, as French mountain law requires from 1 November to 31 March; up to 7 passengers in a V-Class. The trip is booked through a quote, confirmed in writing before you pay, ideally 48 hours ahead.
