Unaccompanied minor flying into Paris: who can collect the child at the airport?
Short answer
Only the adult named in advance on the airline's form, who shows photo ID; at the French national airline, that person must be an adult, unless they are a parent. Our Meet & Greet greeter can be that designated adult: they collect the child, walk them to the car, and the chauffeur drives them to the agreed address.
In detail
The unaccompanied-minor service (Kids Solo at the French national airline) is compulsory from 4 to 11 years on flights within France and from 5 to 14 years on international flights, optional beyond that, up to 17; at Emirates, it covers children aged 5 to 11. When booking the flight, the parents name the person seeing the child off and the person meeting them on arrival.
For our greeter to be the designated person, ask us for their name before filling in the form; on the day, they come with their ID. Meet & Greet costs €250 per welcome, and the transfer is added, for example €115 from CDG to Paris in an E-Class.
The child seat is provided free of charge. For a minor living in France who travels abroad alone, a travel authorisation signed by a parent (autorisation de sortie du territoire) is also required.
